Rainy Day: A photography exploration.
Hey everyone!
It’s been a little while since I’ve written no? haha. Personal things got in the way of me going out and taking photos. (lame excuse I know). Since last posting I did go to another Google Meetup, and will write a post about it within a couple days of this one (Promise).
That being said, I realized that I have become somewhat obsessed with the number game that is Instagram likes and comments. Have you experienced that with your account? I want to go out and take photos and share them with people, but I noticed that as my photos receive what I perceive as a a low amount of likes and engagement on social media. Maybe my photos aren’t “great” or maybe I’m just being super paranoid lol, But it has affected my motivation to go out and shoot. So as a remedy, I went out on Thursday and decided to snap some pics even though it was raining.
I wanted a nostalgic feel, that had a hint of remorse or sorrow. I was in an interesting headspace i guess, but I feel like I was able to capture that by decreasing the contrast and utilizing the well know “Fade” a lot of people use on their feeds. For some reason, I had to use a pretty high ISO that morning (maxxed out at 16k) and that grain actually added to the feel I was going for, so it worked out. I hope you all enjoy the photos, Im thinking of doing this activity more often and making free Phone wallpapers. Let me know if you’d be interested in being able to download them. Leave a comment below and tell me what you think.
Till Next Time
