This year I’d like to concentrate on being more consistent with my blog posting and participating in more photo shoots. I’ve been working on a shoot list and schedule for this blog recently and I’m looking forward to having more achievable goals this year. With New Years resolutions, many of us know that they usually end up being these lofty dreams that we end up not achieving. So to break that cycle I’ve broken mine down into small improvements I’d like to make.

The first is posting regularly. Last year I wanted to post once a week, but realized that I don’t go out much lol. Also, the beginning of the year was a little tumultuous in my personal life, throwing my whole plan off, never getting a chance to fully recover. So, this year I am shaving it down to a bi monthly posting with as many planned posts as possible so that I stay on schedule.

My second goal, which ties into my first, is to actually shoot more photos. Many of the photographers I follow and watch online say they shoot almost everyday for the most part. I need to adopt that mentality. Too many times I’ll choose the comfort of not lugging my camera backpack (especially when wearing a winter coat, ugh) over having my camera on me. Well, not this year! I’ve got a few projects I’m already in the development phases for, so super excited.

A third goal I’ve been exploring is incorporating more of my interior design background into the blog. I miss having that as a creative outlet and want to share that side of myself as well.
